Founded in 2002, Generation Housing Partners is a Texas-based developer, owner, and asset manager of Class A multi-family assets located throughout the southwest. GHP is a company built on relationships with communities, investors, partners, and residents. With a history of success and a depth of industry specific experience, the principals of GHP have built a reputation for creating high-quality, well planned, and quality built multi-family properties.
As a long-term owner, GHP has been involved in the development, construction, and management of over 4,000 units, with a capitalization value of approximately $385,000,000.
GHP attributes its’ success to long standing relationships with communities, equity investors, lenders, and third-party consultants. These relationships have allowed GHP to design, build, and manage every property effectively while maintaining its’ focus on building the best possible development for each community.
In response to the City of Dallas’s "1,000 Unit Housing Challenge," Generation Housing Partners (GHP) developed the flagship Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) known as Westmoreland Station. PRAXIS was brought on board to conceptualize and execute a grand opening event that would not only celebrate this innovative housing solution but also align with the city’s initiative to provide affordable, accessible housing near DART sites. The event aimed to attract municipal officials/staff, community leaders, and stakeholders in housing and urban development.
Solution:
PRAXIS's management of the Westmoreland Station event for Generation Housing Partners was a direct expression of our mission to deliver value through community-centered initiatives:
By embedding PRAXIS’s mission into every facet of the event, from planning to execution, the ribbon-cutting ceremony transcended a mere celebration, becoming a platform for Generation Housing Partners to compete at the forefront of socially responsible development.
The event was an embodiment of GHP's and PRAXIS's shared values, marking the successful launch of a significant urban development:
Through strategic planning and execution, PRAXIS ensured that the grand opening of Westmoreland Station was not just an event, but a milestone celebration of modern accessible, and community-centric living, positioning Generation Housing Partners as a visionary leader in the housing sector.

PRAXIS LAND & LABOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT
As a Dallas, TX-based firm, our work takes place on the lands of the Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Towakani, Caddo, Wichita, as well as the tribes that may have lived here and roamed the area – including Comanche, Kiowa and Apache—historic Indigenous communities in Texas. In offering this land acknowledgment, we honor, respect, and affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history, and experiences.
In addition, we acknowledge that much of what we know of this country today, including its culture, economic growth, and development throughout history and across time, has been made possible by the labor of enslaved Africans and their ascendants who suffered the horror of the transatlantic trafficking of their people, chattel slavery, and Jim Crow. We are indebted to their labor and their sacrifice, and we must acknowledge the tremors of that violence throughout the generations and the resulting racial, political, social, and justice inequities that permeate the Built Environment.
