About Us

PRAXIS Strategic Consulting is a niche strategy agency serving architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) firms, commercial real estate (CRE),

place-based non-profits, and civic organizations.

Mission

We provide value to our clients by helping them connect, communicate, and compete through a community-centered lens prioritizing social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Vision

To make the built environment reflect everyone living in it.

Our Values. DEMONSTRATED:

  • Equity first.

We champion diversity, equity, and inclusion at all times, for all engagements, for all clients.

  • Servant leadership.

We radically serve our clients, the community, our industry, and the built environment. In our operations, we center and demonstrate servant leadership qualities of integrity, humility, flexibility, resilience, stewardship, empathy, commitment to the growth of people, and building community.

  • Perpetually add & deliver value.

We go above and beyond to provide meaningful value, expertise, and insight.

  • Encourage innovation by embracing & driving change.

We are future-forward, with an eye for efficiency and constantly seek ways to optimize our work through technology and design-thinking.

  • Continuously curious...side-eye the status quo.

We invest time and energy into discovery, learning, and growth while disrupting, challenging, and questioning existing conditions and practices.

  • Make it happen.

We problem solve in order to find resolution, handle difficult situations, and ultimately, make it happen.

ABOUT US

PRAXIS empowers our clients  to leverage their capabilities, sell their successes, and gain meaningful work for their firms. Our team of strategy, creative, marketing, and editorial resources enables us to assess, mobilize, and deliver top-tier marketing strategies for businesses that serve the built environment, as well as those that serve the community. We constantly approach our client engagements by prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Why?

  • To level the AEC/CRE playing field by centering racial equity and inclusion.
  • To streamline, refine, and foster a more equitable procurement process.
  • To bring strategic, fractional marketing expertise to new, emerging, and growing firms.
  • To champion creativity, equity, and change in the community.
  • To remove competition barriers for capable firms.

How?

Our team of creative, marketing, and editorial resources with built environment expertise and experience enables us to assess, mobilize, and deliver top-tier strategies for businesses that serve the built environment and the community.

visible gaps = invisible barriers

We heard common feedback when working with prime AEC firms on projects:

"There are no (or very few) MBE firms qualified to do this work."

BUT, when engaging with smaller specialty consultants, minority-owned (MBE) firms, and other disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE), their comments were a direct contradiction:

"Potential clients are unaware that we exist, or worse - they do not believe we are capable of completing the work."

Both of these responses reflect a communication disconnect rooted in a lack of effective marketing.

By closing this gap, PRAXIS strives to remove barriers to competition.
